One of the many pleasures of having your own watch business, is that you get to interact with many people who are passionate and in the loop of this industry.

My friend, Thomas Carey, from watchandclockforum (which is a great forum by the way), has introduced to me a new brand, called Longio Watch Co.

Longio Watch Co. is the P.R.C. Manufacture of luxury Tourbillon watches and automatic watches using Swiss ETA 2824-2.

Now wait a minute, do not just shun away from all products made from P.R.C. No doubt there are many counterfeit watches manufactured from her, but do not forget some of the very good old brands like Fiyta and Seagull.

I must say that their tourbillons are very well crafted. I am sure the Swiss counterparts tourbillons are in the 5- or 6-figured sum which very very few of us can afford; the Longio versions are priced in the 3-figures only.

I particularly like the Flying Tourbillon with Moonphase and Date in Gold PVD as it incorporates two of my favorite features in a complicated watch: Moonphase and see-through mechanism.

After I wrote about the collaboration of luxury watches and exotic cars, it hit me that I should write about motorcycles. And oh boy! I love Harley-Davidson! Everytime I’m driving on the road, my eyes would be looking out for Harleys! They are my dark wild horses! Give one to me and I ride them on the freeway! It’s all about freedom riding a Harley!

Ok, enough of my infatuation for Harley! I have to get my bike Class 2 license first though. Anyway, Bulova collaborate with Harley-Davidson and produce magnificent designs using self-winding movements with descriptions like “exhibition window” which refers to see-through case back. Although riding a Harley would complete me but wearing a Harley-Davidson Bulova timepiece will make me belong to the ride and time of my life! =)

Watchdefinition.info is founded by a wonderful great friend of mine who happens to be a cancer-survivor. Her passion for timepieces is extraordinary. She can talk all day long about timepieces without taking a break. Yet she does not want to be known. That’s how extraordinary this person is.

I worked with her in designing a modest image header in Watchdefinition.info blogspot beginnings. The first post was Cartier Roadster XL Chronograph. From then on, she paved the way and wrote articles and posts to last for 365 days of reading entertainment all about watches and horology.

We are not experts in watchmaking or even horology but we had experience the thrills and spills of disassembly and assembly of mechanical wristwatches. We were hooked. We just could not stop.

So this is the site of our humble beginning. And for those who are fighting for your life or for a purpose in life, never stop and never quit.

Dragons are myth creatures of and centuries and beyond and there are many types of dragons from the West and the East.

The same goes for timepieces. Every watchmaker has his own vision of dragons carved and engraved, embedded into the movements blending with the carefully selected materials that will surely attract gaze and awe.

I was curious about it and I started to search for dragons wristwatches or timepieces. To my stunning enthusiasm, I found a few elites or shall I say the few myth dragons of time! =)

Introducing “The Dragon Gate Legend” from the studio of Cornelius & Cie and brainchild of the world-famous watch engraver Kees Engelbarts and jeweller Paul Pertijs. (Dutch affair with Swiss flair).

While I was surfing, I came across amazing tourbillon watches on the web and decided to write a post about them. Be warned though as these tourbillon watches are not what you may be expecting. The watchmakers or may I call them WatchGurus are masters in tourbillon design movements gracefully captured in a wristwatch!

The showcase below are indeed shocking, may not to you but to me yes indeed. I kept saying the word “WOW’ like a hundred times or more without me realizing it. I believe I am hooked! Let’s begin the showcase!

First up is BLU. Do you know that BLU is not the brand name but only the abbreviations for Bernhard Lederer Universe! The first time I saw BLU Galaxy was amazing! I thought BLU was a really cool brand name. Below is their latest collection in the Tourbillon series – BLU Tourbillon MT3.

Second is Corum Golden Tourbillon Panoramique! It’s more a mystery rather than a beauty to me. This particular Corum masterpiece inherits the floating sensation of its sibling The Golden Bridge. Very amazed at how the movement can stand on its own as if it is trapped in cold clear ice! Simply amazing!

Third is De Bethune Tourbillon Full Silicon which suddenly reminds me of the upcoming movie Avatar. The platinum case design keeps my attention running to and fro from the apparent tourbillon back to the case which I find them compliment one another. And the amazing blue that allows you to think beyond your dream and imagination. This special timepiece makes me feel that I am living in a fantasy!

Next that I recently browsed on the web is the Jean Dunand Tourbillon Orbital! Watchmaker Christophe Claret has the brains of Einstein! He successfully solved the challenge of winding and setting a constantly rotating movement and mainspring barrel with an innovative folding key set vertically into the movement’s central axis that both winds the mainspring and sets the time. In other words, he made a watch with the absence of the crown! Now you realize it, right? Me too. Remarkable example of making the impossible possible!
